Certified VIN Inspections

A Certified VIN inspection is a more in-depth process than a standard VIN verification, often required for vehicles with titling issues or specific circumstances. It involves a physical inspection of the vehicle by an ACSO Certified Deputy, who also verifies the VIN against state and national databases of stolen and wanted vehicles.

Records Requests

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office is committed to providing public information in an accurate and timely manner. Request for public records and criminal justice records will be handled as efficiently and expeditiously as possible within the provisions of the Colorado Open Records Act (CORA) C.R.S. 24-72-200.1 et seq., and the Criminal Justice Records Act (CJRA) C.R.S. 24-72-301 et seq.

Property and Evidence

Our Property and Evidence Unit with ACSO stores property from criminal cases, safekeeping found items. This unit works directly with the Detectives Division and is located at our Commerce City Substation.

County Crime Statistics

Residents can use the ACSO database called MyNeighborhoodUpdate to check Crime Stats in their area. This system helps facilitate the flow of information from local law enforcement agencies into the community.
